JSIP Open House

February, 2023

The open house format on February 8, 2023 provided an opportunity for community members to learn about the County’s plans for improvements to community safety, mental health, and homelessness services facilities. 

  • County commissioners approve funding for comprehensive assessment
  • Community engagement forums and workshops
  • JSIP assessment completed
  • Conceptual predesign begins
  • Advisory committees formed
  • Conceptual designs finalized
  • Pretrial Services expanded and Crisis Outreach pilot programs launched
  • County receives matching grant for new courthouse
  • Community Safety and Justice Campus site selected
  • Crisis Center site finalized
  • County to receive $1 million for new Emergency Operations Center
  • Historic Courthouse Preservation Committee convened
  • Gerding Builders selected to build Crisis Center
  • Courthouse design process begins
