County to Receive $1 million for New Emergency Operations Center

This funding will cover partial costs for a new Emergency Operations Center (EOC), a division of the Benton County’s Sheriff’s Office. The Emergency Management team plans and directs emergency procedures to help protect citizens from natural and human-caused disasters. The team workw on preparedness for emergencies including community emergency response training and exercises and maintaining an Emergency Operations Center where response agencies coordinate actions and allocate resources in an emergency.
